Heart Valve Diseases
Heart valve diseases are a group of medical conditions in which one or more of the four heart valves don’t properly open or close. This can impede the normal flow of blood through the heart and eventually lead to heart failure. Symptoms may include dizziness, fainting, difficulty breathing, and chest pain. Treatment depends on the type and severity of the disease, but may include medications, surgery, or both. Heart valve diseases can be life-threatening if not treated promptly and properly, so regular monitoring and early detection are important for prevention and successful treatment.
