Heart Rate
Variability Heart Rate Variability (HRV) is a measure of the beat-to-beat changes in heart rate. It is an important indicator of cardiovascular health and is used to assess an individual’s overall physiological functioning. Variations in HRV have been shown to be associated with increases in stress and other negative mental health states, as well as decreases in physical activity. Additionally, research has suggested HRV as a predictor of mortality and risk of cardiovascular disease. As a result, it is increasingly used as a metric to monitor physical fitness and to help manage stress.
