Cardiovascular Pathology
Cardiovascular pathology is the study of diseases that affect the heart and the blood vessels that supply it. It involves the examination of clinical signs, symptoms, and laboratory tests to diagnose, prevent, and treat cardiovascular diseases. Cardiovascular pathology can also refer to the study of the effects of age and lifestyle on the cardiovascular system. It is fundamental to understanding and diagnosing cardiovascular diseases as well as managing risk factors such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and smoking. By understanding and managing cardiovascular disease risks, individuals can reduce the likelihood of developing heart disease or having a stroke.
