Cardiovascular Engineering
Cardiovascular engineering is a field of biomedical engineering that focuses on designing and developing medical technologies related to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Cardiovascular engineering combines knowledge from various engineering disciplines, such as mechanical engineering, materials science, electrical engineering, and computer engineering, to develop technologies to diagnose and treat cardiovascular diseases. These technologies include but are not limited to medical imaging, artificial organs, implants, medical devices, computer simulations, and tissue engineering. By applying engineering principles to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, cardiovascular engineering enables physicians to better diagnose, treat, and predict cardiovascular diseases, leading to improved patient outcomes.
