Cardiologists
Cardiologists are medical practitioners specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of heart, blood vessel and vascular disorders. They often play a key role in helping to reduce the risk factors for heart disease, such as smoking, diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. Cardiologists are important for the early detection and treatment of a wide range of heart conditions, from minor arrhythmia to major coronary diseases. Their work can help to reduce long-term disability, improve patient quality of life and reduce the economic burden associated with heart disease.
