Cardiac Nursing
Cardiac nursing is a specialized area of nursing focused on caring for patients with diseases and conditions related to the heart and lungs. These include heart attack, angina, stroke, heart failure, hypertension, cardiac arrhythmia, and congenital heart defects. Cardiac nurses work closely with cardiologists and other health professionals to provide diagnostic evaluations, treatments, and patient education and support. They also have a key role in helping to prevent and manage heart diseases by providing lifestyle counseling and promoting healthy behaviors. With the aging population, the need for skilled cardiac nurses is increasing and is an integral part of providing high quality cardiovascular care.
