Asthma
Asthma is a chronic lung disorder characterized by recurrent episodes of breathlessness and wheezing. During an asthma attack, the airways narrow and produce extra mucus, making it difficult to breathe. Asthma is a significant public health concern, affecting an estimated 235 million people worldwide. Effective treatment and management of asthma require a careful evaluation of the triggers that can cause asthma attacks, proper recognition and treatment of symptoms, and regular monitoring of lung function. Asthma medications and devices, including inhalers, can help manage symptoms and improve breathing, allowing people with asthma to lead normal, active lives.
