Aorta

The aorta is the largest artery in the human body and plays a critical role in the cardiovascular system. It carries oxygen-rich blood from the left ventricle of the heart to the rest of the body. The aorta then splits into smaller arteries, distributing blood throughout the body, carrying essential nutrients and oxygen to the cells, tissues, and organs. Aortic health is essential for healthy cardiac function and overall well-being. Poor aortic health can lead to severe cardiovascular conditions such as aortic aneurysms, aortic dissection, and aortic stenosis. It is important for people to have regular check-ups to monitor their aortic health and to ensure that any potential problems are addressed before they become serious.
