Sexual Predators

Sexual predators are individuals who are likely to commit a sexual crime by engaging in physical violent or non-consensual sexual contact with another person. These predators target vulnerable individuals, often adolescents, and use various tactics to manipulate, deceive, and coerce them into sexual activity. They often use technology such as the internet, social media, and smartphones to access victims and to solicit illegal activity. Sexual predators pose a serious risk to public safety, as their activities are often premeditated, calculated, and violent. It is important to be aware of the warning signs of a potential sexual predator, such as avoiding eye contact, isolating potential victims, or using manipulation tactics to control victims, so that such individuals can be identified and held accountable for their behavior. Recognizing the signs of a sexual predator can help to ensure the safety of individuals, especially vulnerable populations such as adolescents.
