Obesity
Obesity is a medical condition characterized by excessive body fat and a body mass index (BMI) over 30. It is a serious health concern as it increases an individual’s risk for developing a range of serious medical conditions, including type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and certain cancers. Additionally, obesity can lead to decreased quality of life due to associated physical and mental health issues, such as depression and low self-esteem. The prevention and treatment of obesity requires a comprehensive approach, including healthy eating, physical activity, and a holistic approach to mental health.
