Mentalization

-Based Treatment Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT) is a psychotherapy approach used to help people with mental health issues who lack the capacity to identify and reflect on their inner feelings and thoughts. MBT helps people to understand how their thoughts and feelings affect their behaviour and relationships with others. It encourages reflective dialogue through the use of individual sessions and group activities. With MBT, people can gain insight into the way they think, behave, and relate to others, allowing them to better manage their emotions and cope with difficult situations. MBT has been found to be effective in treating personality disorders and other mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. It is also being used as an adjunct for substance abuse and eating disorders. MBT has helped people to gain better self-awareness, build healthier relationships, and live more fulfilling lives.
