Weight

ed Blankets Weighted blankets are therapeutic blankets that have been designed for a range of health and wellness uses. They are made of a weighted fabric, typically a cotton/polyester blend, which is filled with with small, evenly distributed glass beads. The weight of the blanket produces a sensation similar to a gentle hug, providing a sense of comfort and calm. Weighted blankets have been scientifically proven to increase serotonin and melatonin levels, while decreasing cortisol levels. This helps to reduce stress and improve sleep. Weighted blankets are beneficial for those suffering from autism, insomnia, anxiety and other mental health issues, as well as other medical conditions, such as fibromyalgia. They are also beneficial for improving focus, reducing stress and providing a calming effect.
