Vision Science

Vision science is an interdisciplinary field that studies the mechanisms and processes of visual perception. It is important for understanding how the human eye perceives visual information and for creating technologies that enable machines to do so as well. This includes aspects such as eye movement, color vision, light and dark adaptation, depth perception, and visual cognition. Vision science is a key component of research in many fields, including psychology, neuroscience, ophthalmology, computer science, robotics, and artificial intelligence. Applications include the development of better treatments for eye conditions, improved consumer products, and more intelligent autonomous robots and systems.
