Optic Neuritis
Optic Neuritis is a medical condition that affects the optic nerve, which is the nerve responsible for carrying visual information from the eye to the brain. Symptoms of Optic Neuritis include pain in and around the eye, decreased vision, and color vision disturbances. The cause of Optic Neuritis is usually an inflammation of the optic nerve and is usually related to an autoimmune disorder or a viral infection. Treatment of Optic Neuritis is aimed at reducing the inflammation, improving visual function, and preventing further damage to the optic nerve. Early diagnosis and treatment can reduce the risk of permanent vision loss and prevent further complications.
