Noncontact Tonometry

Noncontact tonometry is a noninvasive method for measuring the intraocular pressure of the human eye. It uses a unique air pulse to accurately measure the pressure within the eye without touching the surface of the eye. It is an important tool in diagnosing and managing various eye diseases, such as glaucoma and increased eye pressure, by allowing for quick and easy assessment. Noncontact tonometry helps provide an overall picture of the health of the patient's eyes, giving insight into possible treatments that may be needed. By helping to diagnose and monitor eye diseases, noncontact tonometry can be used to improve the quality of life for those affected.
