Lupus Retinopathy

Lupus Retinopathy is a medical condition affecting the eyesight of people with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). It is caused by an autoimmune inflammatory response in the retina and other parts of the eye. Symptoms can include blurred vision, double vision, blind spots, and sometimes permanent vision loss. Treatment and management of this condition require close monitoring and specialized care from an ophthalmologist. Early detection and diagnosis of Lupus Retinopathy can help to reduce the risk of vision loss and improve the quality of life for people with SLE.
