Lupus

Lupus is an autoimmune disease in which the immune system attacks its own body. It is characterised by inflammation, swelling, and pain in various parts of the body. Lupus can cause serious organ and tissue damage if left untreated. Its signs and symptoms vary widely and can range from mild to severe. Common symptoms include fever, joint pain, skin rashes, fatigue, chest pain, and hair loss. Treatment of lupus includes lifestyle modifications and medications, such as antirheumatic and anti-inflammatory drugs. Early diagnosis and effective treatment are important to prevent complications. Lupus is a serious condition that can severely affect a person’s quality of life.
