Inflammation

Inflammation is the body's response to injury or infection, typically characterized by redness, heat, swelling, and pain. It is a vital part of the body's natural defense system and helps protect us from infection and disease. Chronic inflammation, however, has been linked to a number of health issues, including cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and autoimmune diseases. Treatments for inflammation include lifestyle modifications, such as diet and exercise, as well as medications, including over-the-counter and prescription drugs.
