Glaucoma Medication

Glaucoma medication is used to reduce high intraocular pressure caused by the buildup of fluid in the eye, which can damage the delicate optic nerve. This is achieved by either reducing the amount of fluid produced or increasing outflow of fluid from the eye. By reducing or controlling the intraocular pressure, glaucoma medication can help to prevent or slow further vision loss, preserve the sight remaining and may even improve vision in some cases. Glaucoma medication is an important treatment for glaucoma and is often used in combination with other treatments to ensure the best outcome for the patient.
