Glaucoma and Myopia
Glaucoma and myopia are two of the most common eye disorders, both of which can lead to significant vision loss if left untreated. Glaucoma is a condition where the pressure within the eye is too high, damaging the optic nerve and leading to vision loss. Myopia is an eye disorder where the eye is unable to focus properly, which results in nearsightedness or blurred vision. Treatment for both of these commonly include the use of prescription eye drops and/or surgery. Both glaucoma and myopia can have serious, long-term impacts on vision, so early diagnosis and treatment is important. It is also important to maintain regular eye exams in order to monitor for early signs of either of these conditions.
