Dry Eye Disease2
Dry Eye Disease is an ocular condition caused by an inability to produce enough tears, or insufficient quality of tears, to keep the eyes properly lubricated. This can lead to dryness and discomfort, and in extreme cases, vision loss. Treatment of the condition includes using artificial tears, punctual plugs, and using sunglasses to reduce wind exposure. It is especially important to treat dry eye disease as soon as possible, as it can lead to more serious complications if left untreated. Regular eye examinations are key to identifying and managing the condition.
