Diagnostics
using ELISA Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) is a technique which can be used to detect and quantify antigens, antibodies and hormones. It is used in the diagnosis of a variety of diseases, including HIV, hepatitis, Lyme disease and cancer. ELISA is a powerful tool as it is relatively fast, inexpensive, and easy to use. It also requires minimal sample preparation, has high sensitivity and reproducibility, and is capable of determining low concentrations of antigens and antibodies. Additionally, it can be used to detect not only the presence of a specific antigen or antibody but also its relative abundance.
