Diabetes Mellitus is a medical condition in which the body does not produce enough insulin, or is unable to use it properly. This leads to a buildup of sugar in the blood, which can cause serious complications and even death if left untreated. Diabetes Mellitus is one of the most common chronic diseases that affects people of all ages. There are two types of Diabetes Mellitus: Type 1 and Type 2. Type 1 is usually diagnosed at an early age and requires insulin injections for treatment. Type 2 is usually diagnosed in adults and can usually be managed with lifestyle changes, such as diet and exercise. With proper management and treatment, people with diabetes can lead healthy and active lives.
