Chronic Inflammation
Chronic inflammation is a long-term or recurring inflammatory response in the body. It is the body’s response to physical damage, infection, and/or other irritants that do not go away. Chronic inflammation can be caused by a variety of factors including poor diet, stress, air pollution, smoking, and genetics. In some cases, chronic inflammation can lead to serious health problems such as heart disease, autoimmune diseases, and cancer. Treatments for chronic inflammation depend on the underlying cause and include lifestyle modifications, medications, and natural remedies such as dietary changes and stress reduction.
