Amblyopia
Amblyopia is a vision disorder in which one eye has reduced vision due to abnormal visual development in the brain. It is a condition that is usually present at birth, or develops early in life, and can result in severe vision loss if left untreated. The most common treatment for amblyopia is to patch or blur the better-seeing eye in order to force the weaker eye to strengthen its vision. Early diagnosis and treatment of amblyopia is important to prevent permanent vision loss.
