Foraging Behavior
Foraging behavior is the way in which animals search for, identify, and gather food, either as a single species or in groups. It is a key aspect of animal survival, providing nutritional benefits that enable the species to grow, reproduce and adapt to their environment. Foraging behavior has been studied extensively in order to understand how different species use limited resources, and to uncover the underlying mechanisms of complex decision-making. This information can inform both the conservation of species and the management of resources in natural and human-modified environments.
