Psychopathology

Psychopathology is the scientific study of mental illness and abnormal behavior. It aims to understand the causes and nature of psychological disorders, their effects on the individual, and ways to prevent and treat them. By understanding psychopathology, it is possible to develop more effective treatments, reduce the risk of mental illness, and improve the quality of life for those affected. Psychopathology can also provide researchers with valuable insight into how the mind works, and why certain behaviors may be more common in certain settings.
