Overnutrition
Overnutrition is an imbalance of energy intake and expenditure, whereby the body consumes more energy than it requires. It is commonly seen in developed countries, with high calorie diets becoming the norm. Overnutrition can lead to obesity and related diseases, including heart disease and type 2 diabetes. Eating a balanced diet and regularly exercising are the best ways to prevent overnutrition and maintain a healthy weight. Additionally, public health policies should target reducing unhealthy food options and promoting healthier alternatives to prevent overnutrition.
