Overeating

Overeating is the overconsumption of food or drinks that can have numerous health consequences. Eating more calories than one burns is the cause of overeating, leading to a positive energy balance. Overeating may result in short-term effects like feeling bloated and sluggish, as well as long-term consequences such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, and other chronic illnesses. Understanding the causes and repercussions of overeating can help people to avoid it, thereby improving their health and quality of life. Eating smaller portions and to reduce snacking can help minimize overeating, while ensuring a balanced and nutritious diet.
