Drunkorexia

Drunkorexia is an unhealthy eating pattern that involves restricting food intake, often in order to offset the number of calories consumed through alcohol. This pattern of behaviour is particularly common among college students and has been linked to a range of serious health risks, including nutrient deficiencies, increased risk of alcohol-related harm, and increased risk of mental health issues such as depression and anxiety. Drunkorexia can also be associated with eating disorders such as anorexia or bulimia. It is important to identify and address this unhealthy behaviour in order to protect against long-term health consequences.
