Body Mass Index
Body mass index (BMI) is a measure of the proportion of a person's weight relative to their height. It is an important health indicator used to assess an individual's risk of developing health issues such as obesity, heart disease and diabetes. BMI values below 25 are considered healthy, while higher values indicate overweight and obesity. A BMI reading above 30 indicates obesity. BMI can be used to assess both adults and children. It is recommended to consult with a healthcare professional before drawing any conclusions.
