Cytoskeletal Proteins
Cytoskeletal proteins are a group of specialized proteins that provide structure and motility for cells. They are important for the maintenance of cell shape, motility, and polarity as well as for signaling pathways. They are also involved in transporting material within the cell and during cell division. Cytoskeletal proteins are essential for the development, growth and functioning of all cells, and their roles in various cellular processes are being studied extensively. They are widely used in research to study cellular mechanisms, development, and various diseases. They are also used as drug targets for therapeutic interventions.
