Probiotics
Probiotics are live microorganisms that, when taken in sufficient quantities, can provide health benefits to the host organism. These microorganisms are the same as or similar to ones naturally found in the human gut. Research has suggested that probiotics can help improve digestion, boost the immune system, and play a role in preventing and treating a range of diseases, such as cancer, irritable bowel syndrome, and allergies. Probiotics are now being used in a variety of food products, primarily as dietary supplements, to help improve the digestive health of consumers.
