Neomycins

Neomycin is a group of antibiotics used to treat bacterial infections. It works by interfering with bacterial protein synthesis, preventing the organism from growing and multiplying. Neomycin is effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and is commonly used to treat eye, ear, and skin infections. It is also used to prevent infection after surgery, especially in dental procedures. Neomycin is used as an additive in animal feed to kill bacteria in the digestive tract and as a preservative in topical medications. It can also be used to treat stomach ulcers caused by bacterial overgrowth.
