Equipment Sterilization
Equipment sterilization is a process of removing all living organisms from a surface. Sterilization is an important part of infection control, which is critical in many areas such as healthcare, food processing, and laboratory settings. Generally, three methods are used for sterilization: physical (heat, UV light, radiation), chemical (disinfectants, antiseptics) and non-chemical (steam, dry heat). By ensuring that equipment is sterilized properly, healthcare and food processing establishments can reduce the risk of contamination and promote the health and safety of their personnel and customers.
