faecium Enterococcus faecium is a species of gram-positive bacteria that is widely distributed in nature, including in soils, plants, and animals. It is an important probiotic that can be used to treat and prevent a range of gastrointestinal disorders, including infectious diarrhea, and has been used in food safety and as a source of food ingredients.
