Archaeobiology
Archaeobiology is an interdisciplinary field of research that studies the biological and ecological aspects of past societies and civilizations. It incorporates methods from anthropology, archaeology, and natural and life sciences to understand the interactions between human behavior and the environment. Through archaeological remains and biogeochemical analysis, archaeobiology provides insight into the dietary, medical, and cultural practices of the past. It is used to understand population dynamics, subsistence practices, cultural beliefs and practices, the impact of environmental change, and human adaptations. Archaeobiology is an important tool for understanding our ancestry and the evolution of human behavior.
