Osteosarcoma
Osteosarcoma is an aggressive type of cancer that develops from cells that produce bones. It is the most common type of cancer that occurs in bones, typically occurring in adolescents and young adults, and it is more common in males than females. Osteosarcoma can also spread to other parts of the body, most commonly the lungs. Early diagnosis is key for successful treatment. Treatment typically includes surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. Osteosarcoma is a rare but serious cancer, and is important to be aware of and recognize in order to begin treatment as soon as possible.
