Drug Discovery
Drug discovery is the process of identifying new medications that can treat specific diseases or medical conditions. The goal is to develop drugs that are safe, effective, and affordable. Drug discovery begins with the identification of a potential target, followed by the synthesis of potential drug molecules, and testing and optimization of the molecules in vitro and in vivo. The process culminates with laboratory and clinical trials before the drug is approved and brought to market. Drug discovery is an essential part of modern healthcare, as it allows for the development of new medications to fight disease and improve the quality of life of individuals.
