Cyclophosphamide
Cyclophosphamide is an antineoplastic drug used to treat cancer. It works by interfering with the growth of cancer cells, either stopping or slowing their growth. Cyclophosphamide can be used as part of combination chemo-therapy regimens for a wide variety of cancer types, including breast, lung, bladder, ovary and leukemia. Its primary side effects include nausea, vomiting, fatigue, alopecia (hair loss), and increased risk of infection. Its use is an important part of cancer treatment, as it has been found to be effective in reducing morbidity and mortality.
