Colorectal Cancer
Colorectal cancer is a form of cancer that affects the colon and rectum, the lower part of the large intestine. It is one of the most common types of cancer in the world and can affect people of all genders, ages, and ethnicities. Symptoms of colorectal cancer typically include changes in bowel habits, weight loss, and abdominal pain. Diagnostic tests such as colonoscopy, CT scans, and blood tests can be used to diagnose the condition. Early detection and treatment of colorectal cancer can greatly improve a patient's chances for successful treatment and long-term survival. Treatment for colorectal cancer typically involves surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. Screening for colorectal cancer is recommended for individuals over the age of 45, as well as those at high risk for the condition.
