Chemotherapeutic Agents
Chemotherapeutic agents are medications designed to target and destroy cancer cells. They work by interfering with the cancer cell's ability to divide and proliferate, ultimately leading to cell death. Chemotherapeutic agents can be administered orally, intravenously, or topically, depending on the type and severity of cancer being treated. They are used to treat a variety of different cancers, including leukemia, Hodgkin's Lymphoma, and breast, lung, and colon cancer. Chemotherapeutic agents can also be used to prevent a cancer from returning, or to reduce the size of a tumor before surgery. Chemotherapeutic agents are a powerful tool in the fight against cancer, and play an essential role in cancer treatment.
