Chemoprevention
Chemoprevention is the use of naturally occurring or synthesized chemicals to stop, delay or reverse the development of certain types of cancer. By intervening at the molecular level, chemoprevention strategies can modify the progression of tumors, which can lead to decreased cancer incidence or improved outcomes. Chemoprevention is an important part of cancer prevention, as it can reduce the number of individuals who develop cancer and improve cancer outcomes. It has many potential clinical applications, including the prevention of cancer recurrence and reducing cancer-related mortality.
