Cervical Carcinoma
Cervical carcinoma is a type of cancer that develops in the cervix, the lower, narrow end of the uterus. It is the most common type of gynecological cancer and the second most common cause of cancer-related death in women worldwide. Early detection is key to successful treatment and survival, making regular screening and preventive vaccines - such as the HPV vaccine - essential measures in reducing the burden of this cancer.
