Anticancer Agents

Anticancer agents are drugs that are used to treat cancer, a disease caused by the uncontrolled growth of cells in the body. These agents target the abnormal cells, either killing them directly or preventing them from growing and spreading. Anticancer agents are used in a range of treatments including chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy. By targeting the cancer cells specifically, these agents can reduce the side effects that patients experience from treatment, making them a vital part of cancer treatment.
