RNA Biology
RNA (ribonucleic acid) is a type of biomolecule that plays a critical role in diverse biological processes. RNA helps to store, transmit, and express genetic information and control the activities of proteins. It is found in all living organisms and acts as an intermediate between DNA and proteins. RNA has many different functions, such as regulating gene expression, carrying out protein synthesis and transporting information in cells. It is also responsible for RNA interfering which is used to study gene expression and perform gene silencing. RNA is therefore essential to all life, and a better understanding of its biology is essential to health and research.
