Microsomes

Microsomes are organelles found in cells, specifically in the endoplasmic reticulum. They are composed of phospholipids, which are important for cell membranes, and proteins. Microsomes are used to study drug metabolism and toxicology, as well as other research related to how drugs interact with the body. They can also be used as a tool to test the effectiveness of drugs in clinical trials by studying how quickly they are metabolized and absorbed by the body. Microsomes are important for understanding how drugs work and ensuring their safety and efficacy.
