Du145 Cells
Du145 cells are a prostate cancer cell line derived from a single metastatic brain tumor in an adult male patient in 1976. These cell lines have since been used extensively in research, particularly in the fields of oncology, toxicology, pharmacology, and drug development. The Du145 cell line is used as a model to study prostate cancer biology and has also been used to test the efficacy of various chemotherapeutic drugs. Furthermore, the use of this cell line has allowed researchers to investigate the molecular mechanisms of cancer and the role of signaling pathways in tumor development and progression. As a result, Du145 cells have played an important role in advancing our understanding of prostate cancer and its treatment.
