Tibia

The tibia is a bone located in the lower leg of the human body. Its significance is that it serves as the main weight-bearing bone in the leg, providing the frame and strength necessary for standing, walking, running, and other activities. It also provides protection to other bone and soft tissue structures in the leg. Its uses include being a source of bone graft material for certain medical procedures, and for providing stability to a knee prosthesis.
