Pubis

Pubis is an anatomical structure found in the pelvis of both men and women. It is a flat, triangular-shaped bone composed of two parts: the pubic body and the pubic symphysis. In men, the pubic symphysis is a joint at the front of the pelvis that connects both sides of the pubic bones. In women, the pubic symphysis is a much larger and thicker structure located below the umbilicus. The pubis plays an important role in providing support and stability to the pelvis, and it also provides attachment sites for muscles responsible for hip joint movements. Additionally, the pubis plays a role in childbirth by providing a pathway for the baby to pass through during delivery. The pubis is a vital anatomical structure for both men and women and its importance should not be overlooked.
